Hey everyone, SBZ here, it’s been a while! Though we did release the third Riot Squad while I was there, there haven’t been a lot of updates since I left for Japan. This doesn’t mean nothing’s been going on – on the contrary, we’ve been putting together a number of things behind the scenes the past couple months! This post is going to be a brief overview of what you can look forward to from Allkore in the next few months as we approach the end of the year.
The first order of business is our new store page: it’s now located at http://dl.allkore.com/merch! We decided to shift all our physical product over to our bandcamp page, as they offer a very convenient and easy-to use interface as well as automatically supplying immediate downloads of any physical product you buy. To commemorate this, we’ve lowered the price on all of our CDs and T-Shirts – and stock is limited on some items, so grab them while you can! You’ll also notice that we’ve added the digital version of Riot Squad Vol. 3 to the store! Plenty of physical copies are still available of course, but if you’d rather take the digital-only route it’s now an option as well. Keep your eyes peeled for another addition to the digital lineup in the next couple of days – the set of live recordings from our Riot Kontrol Live event at Katsucon this year will be available free for a limited time!
Speaking of Riot Kontrol Live, we have two events coming up in the month of September! First up, we’ll be taking over both nights of Midoricon in Ohio, located at the Salt Fork resort, from September 7-9. Taking place in an expansive state park, this should be a very fun and interesting spin on the usual anime convention atmosphere! The full lineup and more info can be found here. Next up is Aoi Uma Con in Louisville, Kentucky. The lineup will be Allkore regulars SBZ, theotoxin, and DJ Descent, and we’ll be adding for the first time DJ Narien to the lineup! As usual, we’ll have a merchandise table at both cons, with special discounted pricing; additionally we’ll make all efforts to stream the events if at all possible. Keep an eye on our Twitter and Facebook pages for more info as the events draw nearer!
The Allkore Riot Show on KraftyRadio has been a big success! Here’s a look at what you can expect in the next couple months:
September 5th – DJ Tyujia
September 12th – DJ Jeffito
September 19th – DJ TKR
September 26th – M-Project (Terraform Music)
October 3rd – Sampling Bastard Zorro (Allkore) / 123letsgo!
October 10th – theotoxin (Allkore)
October 17th – MaidenV (Allkore)
October 24th -DJ Speedycake (Allkore)
October 31st – Dantalion / Helblinde (Allkore)
Followed by Nerdcore November! More details on that soon!
Finally, some things to look forward to a bit further in the future. The next CD release will be Super Mario RPG-themed, featuring artists such as Shisotex, Panopticon, 3R2, Shoujo, and more! Expect to see more information in about a month, and a release date of mid-November. Also in November will be Allkore Riot Kontrol 06! As usual, if you’re interested in participating feel free to send a demo mix to info@allkore.com, but do keep in mind that we limit the event to two nights, so there may not be room for everyone.
That’s all for now, in closing I just want to extend a huge thanks to all of you who have supported us this far, we’d be nothing without you!
